My name is Michelle, but people usually either call me Shell, Delly or Mich, so take your pick! My birthday is March 27th and I was born in 1988, which makes me 20 years old.
Until you get to know me, you will only view me as a quite, shy girl, but that perception should change as time goes on. I am not now, nor will I ever be the life and soul of the party. I'm the one will drink and have a laugh with her friends, but wont go round dancing with everyone. I have a desperate need to please people and always put others before myself. I have a strange sense of humour, but it usually gets people laughing =) I'll laugh at about anything. I know it sounds bad but I can't help laughing at other peoples expense. I'd obviously never do it to hurt someone, but if one of my friends fell down, I'd laugh before helping them up, then I'd laugh about it for a good few hours.
At the age of 18 I was diagnosed with depression, which I now realise I had since I was 13 years old. After going to counselling and talking through all my issues, I'm now alot better. Depression will always be a part of my life, and I've no doubt it'll pop up again when I least expect it, but atleast I'm more confident I'll be able to beat it. As a result of the depression, I also suffer from dyslexia. It only really affects my memory and reading. Sometimes I can read perfectly, I'll stick to the lines and read quite fast, but if I'm nervous or stressed I will go in a diagonal line instead of sticking to the straight line. I also wont be able to remember what I've just read. I can get my numbers mixed up [i.e 39 instead of 93] and will also see a word, but not know how to say it. Even a simple word like tree will be hard for me to understand.
My family and friends are the most important people in my life! I have a very small family [about 12 in total] so I think that may be one of the reasons we're close. My two cousins, Chris and Helen, and my Auntie and Uncle all live in Manchester, so we only see them once or twice a year.
My best friends include:
>> David, who I have known since the day I was born [although I obviously don't remember that]. We drifted apart for a little while because he went to university, and I went to college then started work. But we now talk all the time again. We try to spend time together atleast once or twice a month, but we talk on the phone pretty much every day. For a while we went to the pub and played pool alot, but now we go for a meal and then have a drink.
>> Vicky who has been my best friend for 16 years. She's expecting a baby at the moment with her boyfriend Scott, and you're currently reading the life-story of the God-Mother ;o) There was a time when Vik and me would hang out every single day! People started to think of us as one person. But because of boyfriends and work, we're not seeing eachother much anymore. But we still text and talk on the phone all the time.
>> Jodie and I have known eachother since we started college almost 4 years ago. We wern't very close to begin with as I was cripplingly shy, but over the 3 years of college, we grew closer and closer. Alot of people don't understand her. She was bullied quite alot throughout college. The people who bullied her were so stupid though, because they would tell her not to hang out with us at lunch, call her names and basically take the piss out of her to her face and then ask her for help with their work!!! She is such a lovely girl, she is always willing to help you out in any way she can.
I also have a lot of close friends who include Dannii, Megsy, Lisa, Simon, Clare, Leanne, Andie, Billie, Sara, Emma, Pete, Tom and Katie. These are all amazing people and I'm so glad I have them in my life!
Music, family, friends, piercings, Prison Break, my job, Adam Sandler, laughing, caring people, web designing, the ocean, Wentworth Miller [yummy], reading, writing, drawing, Lee Mead, Christmas, being drunk with my friends, Irish Guys, eyeliner, Me-To-You bears, being in love, Robert Knepper [I fell for him in Prison Break, which is freaky since he's a one handed, murdering rapist in P.B =\], cuddles, shopping, driving, hair straigteners, hair curlers, perfume, nail polish, my IPod.
Selfish people, stubborn people, people who are way too far up their own asses, racism, discrimination, homophobics, when people go into way too much detail about their sex life [it's called your sex life for a reason!], people who don't make an effort in a conversation, narrow-minded idiots, keeping my relationship from my family, my brother smoking [lol], not having enough money, wen ppl tlk lyk diz, liars, plucking my eyebrows [it hurts!], painting the nails on my right hand cos I have to use my left hand lol.
