Shell: Aww, thank you! lol Anyone who knows me will know I'm not actually a fan of my layouts!
The main thing I would suggest would be to go around other sites and get an idea of what layout you'd like by looking at other peoples. Obviously, don't copy or take from anyone else, but just get an idea in your mind. Then it's all down to practise. The more you make layouts, the better you'll get.
